Contemporary Front Door

This contemporary home located in a private upscale community of Spokane, Washington, is perched on a ridge above a golf course with lofty views of the lush Liberty Lake below. The composition of the home has a predominately horizontal emphasis, accentuated with horizontal grids and punctuated by unexpected breaks in texture and form. The situation of the home on the cliff side almost wraps the entry, creating a welcoming front facade and a rear exterior with wide views of the open skyline. Grey horizontal siding, muted stacked stone, white stucco, reclaimed wood accents, and black windows with a custom contemporary front door are combined to create a home that is both modern and warm.

Varied rooflines, a functional fenestration design, and modern embellishments like a custom concrete address post add playful interest to the fluent aesthetic.  The full-lite contemporary front door and side-lite are centered on the home’s exterior, with the surrounding walkways, landscape, and driveway creatively and instinctively leading to the entry. The 8’-0” tall entry door features a triple-pane frosted glazing system to allow natural daylight while maintaining privacy and functionality. The black door frame adjacent to clean white stucco creates a striking contrast, remaining true to the ever-coveted contemporary look.

The Glo A5 aluminum entry door was selected to give this front door the modern aesthetic desired while providing improved energy efficiency. The sleek lines and sturdy construction of the A5 door features triple pane glazing, high-performance spacers, low iron glass, larger continuous thermal breaks, and multiple air seals. All of these elements combine to deliver much higher performance values than traditional aluminum windows and doors while also providing cost effective durability. The black powder-coated color is a long-lasting, quality finish, resistant to color fading and chipping, adding to the appeal of this truly stunning contemporary front door.
